During my two years in Canada starting in 2021, I was lucky to meet many amazing friends who were curious about Japan and its culture. Their enthusiasm inspired me to think about how I could support their learning journey—and that’s what led me to this career path.

Soon after passing the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test in 2023, I started working at a Japanese language school in Melbourne. For a year, I had the chance to teach more than 400 students, from complete beginners to advanced learners.

It was always a joy to see students grow in confidence and get more excited about learning Japanese. Their smiles and progress gave me so much motivation and reminded me why I love teaching.
